Christmas Lights Switch-On 2024 – Date for Your Diary

Stone Town Council is delighted to announce the date for this year’s switch on of the town’s Christmas lights. The Switch On will take place on Thursday 21^st November and work is well underway to ensure this will be fantastic evening for all the family!

Entertainment will start at 5.00pm with a range of performances planned, leading up to the switch on of the lights at 7.00pm, as well as funfair rides and a variety of stalls.

Councillor Jill Hood, Chairman of the Council’s Tourism and Town Promotion Sub-Committee, said: “The Switch On is an extremely popular event so please put the date in your diary and make sure you get into town early to claim a good spot!”

A limited number of stalls will be available at the event. For businesses, a charge of £36.00 (incl. VAT) will be made (tables can also be hired at an additional cost of £7.00 each incl. VAT), though registered charities who benefit Stone will not be charged. Each pitch will be 2.25 metre x 3 metre in size, covered and illuminated. The Council would like to thank Stafford Borough Council’s High Street Boost campaign and the UK Government who have provided funding to support this year’s Christmas Lights Switch On event.
