Fauna:
Crown Meadow supports a broad selection of insects, birds and mammals. The river, the wetlands, the grasses, trees and flowers collectively create a strong and varied ecosystem. Common birds that you might see at any time include Mute Swan, Goosander, Kingfisher and Reed Bunting. In summer visiting migrants include Sedge Warbler, Blackcap and Chiffchaff. Among the more common insects are the butterflies Meadow Brown and Orange-tip while the damselfly Banded Demoiselle can be seen in the summer months.
