Saint George’s Day Event – Saturday 26th April 2025
Stone Town Council will again be celebrating Saint George’s Day with an exciting, all-ages event for the whole family by bringing medieval knights into the town on Saturday 26th April 2025.
The event will start with a parade at 12:30pm down the High Street to Market Square led by Saint George, which children are invited to join. If your children want to join the parade with the knights then please meet at 12.20 am around the back of the Stone Town Council building on Station Road.
After the parade, the Black Knight will clash with Saint George and his men in a thrilling battle before the crowd in the Market Square.
There will be an opportunity to experience the weapons and talk to the knights about them, and a children’s medieval fancy dress competition themed on knights, damsels and dragons, with a £25 gift voucher prize for the best fancy dress.
In addition to the event there will also be the usual town market at the upper end of the High Street.
