Summer Circus Skills – Monday 19 to Wednesday 21 August 2024
PRESS RELEASE
Summer Circus Skills
Stone Town Council is very excited to be offering free circus skills workshops for children in the Market Square next week as well as free face painting!
From Monday 19th August until Wednesday 21st August there will be circus skills sessions running from 10.00 am – 12.30 pm and 1.30 pm – 4.00 pm. The sessions will be run on a drop- in, first come, first served basis so no need to book, just come along, but remember parents/carers must remain with their children.
There will also be an ice cream van in the High Street and a couple of children’s fairground rides (charges applicable).
Councillor Jill Hood, Chairman of the Council’s Tourism and Town Promotion Sub-Committee said “The Council is very aware that keeping the kids entertained during the summer holidays can be a challenge and it is often very difficult to find free activities so I am very pleased that we are able to offer this new event to Stone families”
“Bring the family down and try your hand at a whole host of traditional circus skills, such as plate spinning and juggling. I think this is a great way to get the kids outside doing something physical and a fun way to learn some new skills!”
