Summer Street Party – Saturday 31 August 2024

Stone Town Council is holding a Summer Street Party on Saturday 31st August 2024 and everyone is invited to join us for this free, family event!
We are very excited to have local Olympians Joe Clarke and Adam Burgess, who both recently won silver medals at the Paris 2024 Olympics, officially opening the party at 12.30pm and then signing autograph cards in the Market Square from 1pm – 3pm.
We recommend that you head over to the High Street around midday to grab a good spot and we encourage you to bring chairs and picnics and make a day of it!
The party kicks off with local legends Murphy’s Marbles at around 1.00pm, followed by another brilliant local band, The Vanz, at 2.15pm. Our headline act for the day is Real Magic, a Queen tribute band, who are guaranteed to rock you from around 3.30pm!
Samantha Lloyd will be your compere for the day and will be keeping you entertained between sets.
As well as the entertainment on stage we will also have Warwick’s funfair in the High Street.
Food and refreshments will be available from the cafes, pubs and restaurants in the High Street and vendors selling hot food, ice cream and cakes.
The event is expected to finish at around 5.00pm.
Councillor Jill Hood, Chairman of the Council’s Tourism and Town Promotion Sub-Committee said “I am very pleased that the Council is able to put on what I’m sure will be another very successful, free-to-attend, street party and I am very excited that we will be able to celebrate local athletes, Adam and Joe’s, amazing achievements as part of this event”.
